What we stand for

Innovation in education is the answer to 21st-century challenges. We firmly believe that education and professional growth are the backbone of human, social and economic development

Impact is our raison d’être:  we are convinced that social impact and financial performance are intimately correlated in a virtuous dynamic

We make investment decisions using a risk-return-impact model

We are dedicated to fostering diversity and creating a more inclusive world

How we define Impact

As a regulated impact fund, our investment framework follows
the principles outlined by the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN):

Intentionality

Impact is at the core of every step of our investment process, from sourcing to closing.

We target companies that can deliver financial and extra-financial performance to ensure that they generate a positive and quantifiable social impact.

We believe successful Edtech and Future of Work solutions should improve learning outcomes and be available to as many learners & workers as possible.

Additionality

We proactively support our portfolio companies to help them achieve their impact mission and scale their positive impact.

Impact Measurement

We have designed our own proprietary methodology to monitor the impact of our portfolio companies.

We set quantitative goals with our portfolio companies to track and assess their impact performance and share results in transparency.

We evaluate and monitor three key Impact Performance Indicators (IPI), Reach, Inclusion and Outcome to fund projects that are impact-driven and can be globally adopted.

Impact is deeply rooted in Educapital’s identity.

We are convinced that for Edtech and Future of Work products to succeed in the long term, they must improve learning outcomes and be available to as many learners and professionals possible, no matter who or where they are.

We have thus designed our own proprietary methodology to go beyond this regulatory framework.

We evaluate and monitor three key Impact Performance Indicators (IPI), Reach, Inclusion and Outcome to fund projects that are impact-driven and can be globally adopted.

Reach

Educating and empowering the greatest number of learners and workers.

Inclusion

Providing education and career opportunities to all, fighting all forms of discrimination.

Outcome

Improving learning efficacy and fulfilment at work.

Contributing
to building
a better world

We want to foster more diversity in tech and empower women entrepreneurs.

We contribute to 8 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN and are both signatories and members of various renowned sustainable organisations.
